6 months ago, I smoked my last cigarette! I feel great, I can breathe and did I mention I feel great!?!?!?!?!? Yeah, I put on a few lbs. (20 sounds like a good number!) but I am in the process of learning how to eat better, exercise and take care of my body, now. I smoked for 18 years! Yep, I think I was about 16 when I first started! I calculated that I had saved about $1,000 so far (which has been spent on much better things!). I bet that I used to spend a good 2+ hours out of my day to smoke - meaning not being productive at work because I was outside smoking or while at home, I was out on the back porch smoking when I could have been doing something productive, etc. I look better - my hair and my skin look refreshed, not old and pathetic looking! I smell better, too!
How did I do it? I asked my Dr. for Wellbutrin. She prescribed it for me, I started it July 7th and was done smoking by July 30th. I opted to stay on the Wellbutrin until March or so to avoid boredom through the long cold Winter. I indeed can't wait for that day - because I really need a gin and tonic!
