We shaved Smokie! I can honestly say that I think he prefers to be shaved in the summer months, he was so cooperative. I know, I know...he looks REALLY funny! But, at 17, he can't care for himself like he used to, so drastic measures have to be taken to keep his coat healthier.

I also got my new Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens - OH!! AM I IN LOVE! This little lens is so awesome!
Some GREAT shots are going to come out of this lens!
ALSO, this weekend was the New England Sand Sculpting Invitational - it's an annual event held here at Revere Beach. I got some great shots this morning...man it was HAZY - this weather is killing me! Go check out all the sculptures at my FLICKR page! I photograph this event every year. I wouldn't miss it for the world - I just love the creativity...year after year, you start to recognize some of the artists' work.

I don't know how I have lived here my whole life and that competition is another thing I have yet to get to. Oh well, I will have to live vicariously through your photos! LOL :-)

Smokie is such a sport. What a sweet kitty. I'm sure he feels much better, even if he does look funny! LOL
